How Much Does A Guide Dog Cost?
Light into Europe wants to see a world where everybody who needs a Guide Dog, has a Guide Dog. For that reason, each of our dogs is provided free of charge to people who are blind or vision impaired.
Who is Eligible for a Guide Dog?
You do not have to be totally blind to receive a Guide Dog and you can apply if you meet the eligibility criteria. You are:
- 16 years of age or more
- Blind or Visually impaired
- Resident of Romania
What is the Application Process?
If you are interested, but want to find out more about how a Guide Dog can help you be independent, please feel free to contact us by phone or email to speak with one of our team and ask any questions that you may have!
When you decide to apply for a Guide Dog, your application will be processed and you will be contacted as soon as possible by one of our team. They will invite you to our office in Bucharest for an initial assessment to find out more about you, your mobility and take you on a test walk with one our dogs to assess your speed. You will also have the chance to ask more questions during your visit.
Following this, we will ask you to make a decision if you want a Guide Dog and if the answer is yes, you will go onto our waiting list and be matched as soon as possible when a suitable dog is trained!
